Holy Wood

Holy Wood was the very first scent I created. I longed for the singularly mystical fragrance of burning palo santo in a wearable form, but couldn’t find anything that did it justice.

The heart of this blend is an infusion of real palo santo wood pieces steeped in oil to derive the scent directly from the source, combined with palo santo essential oil for added clarity. I then chose to introduce the velvety warmth of sandalwood—another sacred tree, burned for millennia in Buddhist and Hindu temples to aid in meditation. Together, the result is something that both lifts you to the heavens and grounds you deeply in the earth. As the smoke begins to fade (though it never fully disappears) you'll encounter the comforting sweetness of frankincense, benozin, and vanilla that take Holy Wood beyond the altar or the mat and into a wearable everyday fragrance.

NOTE: Due to longstanding concerns around the unethical harvesting of traditional Indian sandalwood, I use exclusively sandalwood essential oil souced from ethical producers located in Australia.

Ingredients: jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, palo santo, sandalwood, frankincense, vanilla, vetiver, benzoin, & other essential oils.
